Maxxima's Social Work team are currently recruiting for a Youth Offending Service Officer to fill a job role in Staffordshire.
The role will be based within Youth Offending Services, who are looking for a Youth Offending Service Officer to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The pay rate for this role is £25 per hour, and the role will initially be a three-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.
Requirements and details of this vacancy:
Statement of Purpose:
To maintain, support and promote a comprehensive high quality service to young people, the Courts and local communities in Staffordshire, working in a non-discriminatory manner and in accordance with National and Service Policy.
*Undertake direct observation of YOS Support Workers and YOS Practitioner staff and provide written feedback to line managers.
*Act as Case Worker in line with Case Management guidance and Staffordshire Youth offending Service risk policy and National Standards to assess, plan, and deliver interventions in with young people including Looked after Children.
*Take responsibility for case management including high risk cases in line with SYOS risk policy.
*Make referrals to the YOS Support Worker, as appropriate and evaluate outcomes as part of case management.
*To work, jointly, collaboratively and constructively with other colleagues within the department and represent the Service in maintaining links with those external organisations identified as relevant to the achievement of team and service objectives.
*Support young people to engage in ETE, resettlement activities and reparation and encourage engagement in mainstream services and positive Activities.
*Contribute to the development of Restorative Justice and devise and operate systems to ensure all Restorative Justice Activity is completed in line with requirements.
*Develop, deliver and evaluate 1:1 and group work interventions to ensure that the substance misuse is addressed.
*Refer to Crime Reduction Initiatives (CRI) to manage more complex substance misuse problems within case management framework.
*Compile reports and maintain records, using management information systems in line with Service policy.
*Participate in the regular collection and collation of data and support of appropriate performance management information which meets the needs of the Service.
*Act as Court Officer, Duty Officer and Appropriate Adult in line with Service requirements.
*Attend meetings with partner agencies or external organisations as appropriate with Service need / directed by the Area Manager.
