Job Description

Maxxima are currently recruiting for a band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to work in a CAMHS Service in Wokingham.


To be considered for this vacancy you will have a background in either social work or psychological therapies.

This post sits within the Specialist Community Teams which offer assessment and intervention within a multi-disciplinary context to children and young people presenting with complex, comorbid or high risk mental health disorders.

The postholder will be expected to take an active role in the development of protocols around Duty work and Care of People Waiting work, to participate in recruitment processes for new staff, to undertake caseload management and oversee the performance and job role compliance of junior staff. The postholder will also hold a Duty worker role within the team, providing risk reviews, psychological support, inter-agency liaison and timely response with the aim of preventing young people from going into crisis.
