Job Description

Maxxima's Physiotherapy jobs team are currently seeking a Band 6 Community Paediatric Physiotherapist to fill a full-time contract in Heywood, Lancashire. The post holder will mainly work in a clinic environment Callaghan House/ Croft Shifa Health Centre) covering a paediatric pre-school and musculoskeletal caseload.

The post holder will work as a member of the paediatric physiotherapy department under the direct and indirect supervision of a specialist physiotherapist. The post will involve direct patient care.

The paediatric physiotherapy department works with children from 0-19years mainly in clinics but not exclusively. Other locations may include nurseries, mainstream and special schools working with children who have a variety of conditions including children with musculoskeletal problems and neurological impairments. Some of the children have complex health care needs.

The post holder will perform patient assessments to determine a clinical judgement of the patient's condition/needs in order that an individualised treatment programme can be developed, implemented, evaluated and modified, ensuring appropriate pathways of care and communication via liaison and referral to other agencies as required.

The hourly rate for this position will be £21 - £24 p/h dependent on experience. This is an ongoing contract.
