Job Description

We have a rare opportunity for a speech and language therapist to work with adults with learning disabilities in low, medium secure and rehabilitation. Most patients have complex needs including forensic histories, mental illnesses, ASC and Personality Disorders. Although experience in a forensic setting is not essential, it is preferrred.

Ideally the post is to cover both communication and dysphagia, however all experience will be considered.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in working in a forensic setting. You will be part of an MDT made up of nurses, psycologists and assistants but will be the lone Speech Therapist. There will be support from Speech therapist in other teams across the UK.

The client is looking for someone part time on either a temporary, fixed term or permanent basis. Rate of pay will be between £26-£33 per hour depending on experience.

-HCPC and RCSLT registration
-Previous Learning Disability experience essential.
-Independent in managing a dysphagia amd communication caseload
- Car driver
