Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 8B Theatre Manager to fill a full time role in East Lancashire. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of operational theatre management practices within the NHS.

The pay rate for this locum Band 8B Theatre Manager job is £40.00 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 3 - 6 month contract (subject to extension) due to start ASAP.

This role will require you to manage the overall operation and development of an NHS Theatre Service. You must have substantial acute hospital experience, as well as experience in operational management, business planning and development of business cases. You will provide leadership in achieving complex performance and financial targets. You must have ability to lead and motivate a large team of clinicians including senior staff, basic IT skills and have the ability to manage complex issues through a range of approaches to communication, ability to deal with sensitive situations including decision making on competing pressures. You must be able to participate in On-Call duties and attend meetings out of hours as required.

Requirements of the Band 8B Theatre Manager role:

- You must be a Registered General Nurse with a current NMC pin
- You must be educated to or working towards a Masters level or the equivalent
- You must have previous experience within Theatre Service Management within the NHS
