Maxxima is currently seeking an experienced Band 7 RCA / Serious Incident Investigator to fill a full time, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm role in Wickford, Near Chelmsford but may require you to travel across Essex. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of serious incident processing and practices.
The pay rate for this locum Band 7 RCA Investigator job is £26.00 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 3 month contract due to start ASAP.
This role will require you to support the daily management of the serious incident processes and manage effectively the investigation of Serious Incidents that occur within the Trust in line with the requirement of the NHS Serious Incident Framework (March 2015), you will review reports and support quality checking of all reports prior to circulation as well as supporting the SI team with collation of information for different reports required internally and externally.
You will be responsible to conduct thorough investigations into serious incidents and other incidents, as necessary, using root cause methodologies, ensuring 'Being Open' principles are applied. The Post Holder will ensure that Service Users and their Carers/Families, Trust Staff and where appropriate, third parties are fully involved in the investigative process and must compile robust action plans in conjunction with the appropriate manager and will monitor the completion of these action plans to ensure learning takes place as well as undertaking audits and assurance checks to ensure learning has been embedded into practice.

Requirements of the Band 7 RCA Investigator role:
- You must have a clinical qualification i.e. Registered Nurse, Allied Health Professional, Social Care Qualification
- You must have a masters equivalent, diploma or degree or equivalent experience in managing complex incidents, complaints and investigations
- You must have knowledge of corporate and clinical governance at an operational level
- You must have previous experience within a similar role
