Maxxima is currently seeking an experienced Band 7 Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse to fill a full time role in West London. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of Paediatric diabetes care practices within the NHS.

The pay rate for this locum Band 7 Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse job is £30.00 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 12 month contract due to start ASAP.

This exciting opportunity has arisen within the Children and Young Person's Diabetes Team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, the role will be working at Ealing Hospital and the role is to start asap. The team are looking for a dynamic and innovative paediatric diabetes specialist nurse to join this friendly team to provide nursing care and support to children and young people with diabetes and their families in North West London.

This NHS role involves providing consistent care to the patients & families on our caseload from admission at diagnosis, through clinic appointments, any subsequent admissions, to transition though a planned process to the young adults' clinic. This will include community visits to homes and schools, structured education sessions and support for multidisciplinary clinics.

You must be prepared to work both in the community and in the acute setting.

Requirements of the Band 7 Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse role:

- You must be a Registered General Nurse, Part 8 or 15 Children's Nursing, with a current NMC pin
- You must have a post graduate Paediatric Diabetes qualification or equivalent
- You must have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience
- You must have a minimum of 2 years experience within the acute community paediatric settings
- You must have previous experience working within the NHS
