Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Theatre Scrub Nurse to fill and full time, rota-based role in Leicester. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience as a Scrub Nurse.
The pay rate for this locum Band 6 Theatre Scrub Nurse job is £26,565 - £35,577 (depending on experience) per annum (Umbrella) plus additional benefits. This is a permanent contract due to start ASAP.
This role will require you act as the scrubbed or circulating nurse during surgical procedures. You will carry out safety checks of swabs, instruments and needles, in conjunction with a second nurse and reporting on the same to the surgeon. You will check, witness, and administer controlled and scheduled drugs to patients. You will assist other members of the team in the preparation and cleaning of theatres, and provide assistance to the Anaesthetic and Surgeon as required.
Requirements of the Band 6 Theatre Scrub Nurse role:
- You must be a Registered General Nurse with a current NMC pin
- You must have considerable experience as a Scrub Nurse
- You will ideally have experience within Ophthalmology
