Our Recovery Team provides community-based services for adults with mental health problems in Warrington.
Recovery-focused care involves a change in focus from managing problems and symptoms to focusing on strengths and goals for the future - helping patients to be in control of their own life, and seek opportunities beyond their condition.
Putting recovery into action is about focusing on building mental strength and resilience, not just on treating or managing symptoms.
There isn't one single meaning of the word 'recovery' for people with mental health problems but a lot of the time it focuses on hope and the belief that it is possible to live a meaningful life, despite having a serious mental illness.
Our service is for adults with long-term mental health needs that would be best met by secondary mental health services. This includes people with mental health problems like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and severe depression.
