Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 School Nurse to fill a part time, 3 days per week, 9am - 5pm role working within this NHS Trust based in Illford, Essex. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of child care.

The pay rate for this locum Band 6 School Nurse job is £23 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 3 month contract due to start ASAP. This role will also require you to be flexible is swapping shifts.

As a Band 6 School Nurse you will be working for this Children's service, you will provide a public health service to children, young people and their families with a focus on early intervention and prevention, as well as promoting physical and social wellbeing. You will be required to undertake delegated school nursing duties, including CP reports and conferences other safeguarding duties, school drop ins and health reviews and will be working in partnership with children and young people from 5-19 years old, and their families to ensure that children's health needs are supported within their school and their community. Your role will require you to carry out various activities within a school environment including; case management, child protection, clinics and clinical activities relating to Health Visiting.

Requirements of the Band 6 School Nurse role:

- You must be a Registered General Nurse or Midwife with a current NMC pin
- You must have experience working within the community with children aged 5-19 years
- You must have previous experience using RIO systems
