Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse to fill a part time, 4 day per week role based in Northampton. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of dementia and delirium practices.

The pay rate for this locum Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse job is £18 per hour (Umbrella) and is initially a 4 month contract with potential for extension.

The D&D (Dementia and Delirium) service specialises in assisting with complex discharge planning for people with dementia and/or delirium who are acute hospital patients. The D&D model works closely with inpatient and community services in order to support patients and their families.

Your role will include completing triage screening and assessments of older people who have been referred to the D&D team with complex needs as well as advising on treatment plans, undertaking risk assessments and assisting with planning packages of care. You will be involved in the on-going development of the Dementia and Delirium service for older people within the acute general hospital.

Requirements of the Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse role:

- You must be a registered RMN with the NMC
- You must have previous experience working with dementia and/or delirium
- You must have previous experience of triage screening and assessments
