Maxxima is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Mental Health Liaison Nurse to fill a full time, rota based 06:00 - 14:00/18:00 - 02:00 role based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of mental health liaison practices within the NHS.
The pay rate for this locum Band 6 Mental Health Liaison Nurse job is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella) for days plus increments for nights and weekends, and is a 3 month contract due to start ASAP.
This NHS role aims to provide specialist mental health assessment and a smooth transition pathway for service users admitted to the accident and emergency departments and medical assessment units. Candidates will work to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the holistic care needs of a specific group of service users. They will also need to recognise potential crisis situations and act responsively and responsibly, to resolve the situation seeking assistance if required.
Requirements of the Band 6 Mental Health Liaison Nurse role:
- You must be a Registered Mental Nurse with a current NMC pin
- You must have previous experience working mental health assessment and liaison
- You must have previous experience working within the NHS
