Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to fill a full time role in Grays, Essex. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of mental health practices.

The pay rate for this locum Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse job is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella) with enhancements for weekend working and is a 2 month contract with potential for extension. This role will require you to work on a weekly rotation of shifts which include; 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm and 12pm - 8pm including one weekend a month.

This role will require you to be responsible for a caseload of service users who have complex and substantial mental health needs. You will work as a member of the MDT ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered and that this that promotes recovery and maximises independence. You will carry out Risk Assessment and Management of clients with severe and enduring mental health problems in the community with a recovery focus to client care

Requirements of the Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse role:

- You must be a Registered Mental Health nurse with a current NMC pin
- You must have sound working knowledge of the Care Programme Approach and preferably SEPT systems
- You must have experience of Medication/Depot Injection Administration
- You must have sound working knowledge of the safeguarding process
- You must be a car driver to carry out home visits.
