Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to fill a full time role, working on a rota basis in this NHS Access and Assessment Service which is based in Ipswich in Suffolk. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of mental health practices.

The pay rate for this locum Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse job is £23.00 days, £27.00 nights/Saturdays and £32.00 Sundays per hour (Umbrella) and is a 3 month contract due to start ASAP.

This role will require you to work apart of the Access and Assessment Service who is designed to make it easier for people to get the right mental health service as quickly as possible. You will be responsible to take referrals from individuals and guide and support patients to access the services needed to help maintain or improve your mental health.

The team are offering a range of shifts 8am - 8pm, 8am - 4pm and 12.00 noon- 8pm and are offering full or part time hours to suit.

The team is based at Mariner House, situated in the beautiful town of Ipswich in Suffolk. Ipswich is an ideal commuter town for London, Colchester or Norwich, with great public transport and a central Train station.

Requirements of the Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse role:

- You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current NMC pin
- You must have experience working within the NHS, completing triage, assessments and signposting referrals
- You must have previous experience working with mental health issues, ideally within a community setting
