Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Community Paediatric Nurse to fill a full time, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm role in Walthamstow. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of child care within the NHS.

The pay rate for this locum Band 6 Community Paediatric Nurse job is £24 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 2 month contract due to start ASAP.

This NHS special school nursing service provides specialist and holistic nursing care to those children with complex health needs and disabilities who attend special schools. This includes nursing assessment and care planning, acute assessment and emergency intervention when required.

In this role, you will be required to collaboratively with colleagues to provide effective nursing services within the special school, planning care compiling care plans and carrying out interventions such as care of gastrostomies, tracheostomies, epilepsy. You must have experience with working with children with compiles health needs and working with children with compiles health needs

Requirements of the Band 6 Community Paediatric Nurse role:

- You must be a Registered Nurse with a current NMC PIN
- You must have previous experience working with children with complex health needs and disabilities
- You must have previous experience working within the community, ideally within a specialist school service provided by the NHS
