Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to fill a full time, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (may be negotiable) role in Weymouth & Portland, Dorset. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service practices.

The pay rate for this locum Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner job is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 2 month contract with potential of extension, due to start ASAP. Working hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, but these could be negotiated for the right candidate.

In this role, you will be required to assess new patients/new referrals, offer Care Co Ordination, be able to implement CPA, assess clinical risk and risk management, work as part of a multi disciplinary team and understand treatment approaches for CYP in CAMHS. You will also be able to offer evidence based interventions.

Experience of neuro developmental disorders ie: ASD and ADHD is required for this position and you must be have good communication skills and understand the challenges of multi agency working with vulnerable children and families.

Requirements of the Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner role:

- You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current NMC pin
- You must have at least 2 years previous experience as a Band 6 within a CAMHS service
- You must have experience of neuro developmental disorders ie: ASD and ADHD
- You must have a licence and access to your own car
