Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to fill a part time, 9am - 5pm, 3 days per week role in Redbridge. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of child and adolescent mental health practices.

The pay rate for this locum Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner job is £25.00 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 3 month contract due to start ASAP.

The community based Redbridge child and adolescent mental health service offers help to young people from birth up to the age of 18 who are experiencing moderate to severe emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties. The Redbridge CAMHS team is based in a local clinic and offers various support such as assessment of development problems, autism, hyperactivity, depression, and early onset psychosis and brief interventions. The team also offers support to families and carers.

During a child or young person's development, there may be periods when they or their family's ability to cope with difficult emotions or behaviour can put extreme pressures on relationships. Your role will be to ensure that referrals receive an appropriate intervention during these difficulties to turn the situation around.

Requirements of the Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner role:

- You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current NMC pin
- You must have specialist knowledge within the field and have worked in a CAMHS service
- You must have 2 years post registration experience
