Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 CAMHS Nurse to fill a part time role in Bexley. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of CAMHS practices.

The pay rate for this locum Band 6 CAMHS Nurse job is £24 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 3 month contract due to start ASAP. You will be required to work Monday, Wednesdays and Thursday each week, working 9am-5pm.

Your role will be to treat a range of mental health and significant behavioural difficulties in young people aged 12-18 referred to the tier 3.5 adolescent team through assessment and care co-ordination.

You will conduct risk assessments with young people and their families, working under the supervision of the team manager and senior clinical supervisor to manage these situations effectively. Working as part of the daily duty rota for the service which involves screening and managing new referrals, telephone queries, risk assessment of children and young people presenting in A&E and supporting the team where necessary.

You will be a member of a number of internal and external professional networks to ensure that care plans for individual children and services across agencies are care co-ordinated efficiently and effectively.

Requirements of the Band 6 CAMHS Nurse role:

- You must be a Registered RMN with a current NMC pin
- You must have previous CAMHS experience
- You must have previous NHS experience
- Skills in assessment, care co-ordination and referrals are essential
