Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse to fill a role in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of young people with acute mental health needs.

The pay rate for this locum Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse job is £18 per hour (Umbrella) and is to work day shifts, Monday - Sunday.

The unit is a state-of-the-art NHS facility providing specialist inpatient services for young people aged 11 to 18 with acute mental health needs. The unit provides inpatient care for service users in the most acute and vulnerable stage of their illness. Treatment and interventions are provided using the lowest intensity that is effective for every young person. The unit provides three levels of intervention; day patient (with provision of a structured timetable and support), inpatient and high dependency (with more intensive support).

You will provide a safe and supportive environment while young people are in the most vulnerable stage of their illness. The team offers individualised care for each young person. Following assessment the team will make a care plan using a range of treatments and interventions.

Requirements of the Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse role:
- You must be NMC registered
- You must have experience in CAMHS
- You must have triage experience
