Job Description

Maxxima is currently seeking an experienced Band 5 or 6 Care Coordinator with an eating disorder service to fill a full time, 9-5 Monday to Friday, role based in Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of Mental Health practices.

The starting pay rate for this locum role is £23 per hour (Umbrella Rate) (Depending on banding) and is 3 months initially with the possibility of extension to start ASAP.

About this Service:
*The Children's Community Eating Disorder Service provides assessment, treatment and support for young people with eating disorder and their families.
*The service aims to promote the early detection and treatment of eating disorders, through a combination of one-to-one support and family therapy, along with support from a qualified dietitian.
*The service also works closely with local schools and colleges to raise awareness and support the identification of eating disorders amongst pupils and staff.
*The service is for children and young people aged 8-18 living in the Bolton and Wigan areas, who have symptoms of an eating disorder.
*The types of eating disorders treated within the service include anorexia, bulimia or eating disorders not otherwise specified (also known as EDNOS).
*This service works in partnership with the leading national eating disorder charity, Beat.
*The service accepts referrals from GP's, teacher, school nurses, social workers and other health professionals.

Requirements of the role:
All applicants must have an updated NMC Registration.
All applicants must have experince within the NHS.
All applicants must have experince working within the community.
All applicants must be a car driver.
All applicants must have previous experience within CAMHS.
