Maxxima is currently seeking a Band 5 Mental Health Nurse or Qualified Social Worker within the IDT Youth Team to fill a full time, 9-5 Monday to Friday, role based in Ipswich.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Mental Health practices and the team are willing to accept applications from newly qualified nurses and social workers with mental health placement experience.
The starting pay rate for this locum role is £17.00 per hour (Umbrella Rate) and is 3 months initially with the possibility of extension to start ASAP.
This service provide clinical interventions for 14-25 year olds in the community to address complex mental health needs, as well as certain specialist difficulties such as ADHD and autism. We have a range of qualified and experienced clinicians including doctors, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, support workers, psychologists and psychological therapists
Within this role, you will be carrying out the risk assessment and putting in place safety plan/risk management plan.
You must also have the ability to:
*To understand and manage complex cases
*To reflect and apply clinical skills to assess and implement care/intervention to support service users and carers safely
*To work in a team and liaison with other agencies
*To work closely with service users and carers using holistic and recovery focused approaches
Requirements of the role:
All applicants must be a mental health nurse with NMC registration or a QSW with HCPC registration.
All applicants must have experience within the NHS.
All applicants must have experience working within the community.
All applicants must be a car driver.
