Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to fill a full time, 37.5 hours per week role in South Wymondham. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of community nursing practices.

The pay rate for this locum Band 5 Staff Nurse job is £18.00 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 2 month contract due to start ASAP.

In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development of programmes of care and their implementation and evaluation. You will be required to demonstrate good clinical skills and teach other staff and learners, and will also be expected to take charge of the ward as required.

You must have experience in; syringe drivers, male catheters, female catheters, suprapubic catheters and wound care. Having experience in the following is desirable;

compression bandaging and short stretch compression
apomorphine pump
picc lines
vac dressings
ear syringing
vaginal ring pessary
venepuncture
rocket drains
verification of death
NHS continuing care assesments
bladder scanning
nephrostomy flushing
methotrexate injections
zoladex injections
prostap injections

Requirements of the Band 5 Staff Nurse role:

- You must be a Registered Nurse with a current NMC pin
- You must have previous experience within a similar field
