Job Description

Maxxima is currently seeking an experienced Band 5 Community Mental Health Nurse to fill a full time or part time role based in Blackpool. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of Mental Health practices.

The starting pay rate for this locum role is £18 per hour (Umbrella Rate) and is 3 months initally with the possibility of extension to start ASAP.

The community mental health team provides service to older adults, usually over the age of 65, who need assessment and treatment of mental health disorders which due to their severity or complexity cannot or have not responded successfully to treatment in Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) services or primary care.

The service provides specialist assessment and treatment, and high quality support for older people with complex mental health and social care needs, including people with dementia. The key focus will be one of therapeutic optimism and service users will be assisted to maximise their quality of life by promoting recovery, social inclusion and living well with dementia and other significant mental health conditions. The service will also provide assessment and specialist support to carers and families.

Requirements of the role:
All applicants must have an updated NMC Registration.
All applicants must have experince within the NHS.
All applicants must be a car driver.
All applicants must have community experience.
