Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 5 Community Learning Disability Nurse to fill a full time role in North London. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of learning disability practices.
The pay rate for this locum Band 5 Community Learning Disability Nurse job is £20 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 3 month contract due to start ASAP.
We are seeking an Community Learning Disability Nurse with proven clinical skills in working with adults with complex health needs, to work within our integrated, multi-disciplinary team within a busy London NHS Trust. We are a dynamic, proactive and forward thinking service, which provides high quality person cantered care to people in their own homes across Camden.
You will be required to work autonomously and with your own complex caseload you will deliver specialist health care for adults who have a learning disability. You will also work with their support networks, fellow professionals and other providers to ensure meet the health needs as identified as part of the Education and Health Care Plan.
Requirements of the Band 5 Community Learning Disability Nurse role:
- You must be a Registered Learning Disability Nurse with a current NMC pin
- You must have previous experience working within the community
- You must have further education or recognised training in meeting the needs of people with learning disabilities complex health needs problems in the community
- You must have experience of working in a multi-professional, multi-agency setting
- You must have experience of undertaking and formulating comprehensive nursing assessments
