Job Description

Maxxima is currently seeking an experienced Band 5/6 Community Nurse to fill a full time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm or 9am - 5pm role in Surrey. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of community nursing practices.

The pay rate for this locum Band 5/6 Community Nurse job is £18 - £23 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 6 month contract due to start ASAP.

This role will require you to carry out visit care homes doing wellbeing and health rounds of elderly patients that have been in hospital, experience falls, end of life. You will be responsible for assessing and to carry out observations.

In order to carry out this role, the following skills are required;

-Assessment skills
-Clinical reasoning
-Physical assessment
-Work autonomously
-Community experience
-Knowledge of acute setting as potentially assisting in ward rounds of residents gone into hospital - reviewing in a hospital setting
-Telephone triage
-Awareness of safeguarding
-Knowledge of continuing care
-Palliative care

-Teaching - other lower staff grades general observations
-District nursing

Requirements of the Band 5/6 Community Nurse role:

- You must be a Registered General Nurse with a current NMC pin
- You must have previous experience working within the community
- You must have previous experience working within a similar role
