Job Description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking an experienced Band 4 Therapies Rehabilitation Worker/Support Worker to fill a full time role in Peterborough. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of working with people with visual or hearing impairments.

The pay rate for this locum Band 4 Therapies Rehabilitation Worker job is £12.00 per hour (Umbrella) and is initially a 3 month contract with potential for extension to 6 months. The role will be working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm within the community.

This role will require you to provide assessment of children, adults and older people with a visual or hearing impairment living in the community. You will need to identify the need for specialist intervention which includes rehabilitation, simple and complex equipment needs and mobility training taking into account the needs of the clients and their relatives and carers. To be considered you must have a working knowledge of relevant Community Care and housing legislation with a knowledge of eligibility criteria and relevant procedures and policies relating to social care, health and housing organisations.

Requirements of the Band 3 Rehabilitation Worker role:

- You must have a level 3 qualification or equivalent
- You must have experience working with visual or hearing impairments
- You must have experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team, with other healthcare professionals
