Maxxima have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 3 Community Support Worker to fill a full time role in Bury St Edmunds. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of mental health practices and working in the community.
The role is working within the Enhanced Community Care Pathway (ECP) aims to offer Service Users, for whom traditional CMHT contact has not been successful, an innovative, and socially inclusive approach towards their individual journey of recovery. The team works with a formulation model, delivering a wide range of evidence based individual and group interventions. We have strong links with the Recovery College, with team members co-producing courses alongside Service User and Carer colleagues.
This multi-disciplinary team includes a Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Nurses, Mental Health Social Workers, Psychologists, and Support Workers. We work as an integrated health and social care team with good links to the community to promote individual's independence as they move towards their recovery and discharge from secondary services.
As part of this friendly NHS team, your role will be to work alongside care coordinators and therapy in supporting individuals to engage with the practical side of their recovery programmes. This is a very rewarding role to play within the team as it pulls together a broad scope of skills including communication, knowledge of physical/mental health needs and interactive interventions.
The role also offers opportunity for progressive learning as the team deliver structured emotional regulation and psycho-educational work which will be implemented for all support staff.
The pay rate for this locum HCA job is £10.00 per hour (Umbrella) and is a 3 month contract with potential for extension to 6 months.
Requirements of the Band 3 Community Support Worker role:
- You must have previous experience of working within mental health
- You will ideally have experience within the community and the NHS, although this is not essential
- You must have experience in assisting individual's through recovery
